In the fall of 2019, Olivia was an audiology resident living in NYC, while Brandon was over 4 years into his NBC Sports career in Stamford, CT.

That September, Brandon was in Manhattan celebrating a friend's birthday, and - like any other night during that time of his life - pulled out his phone and started swiping on Hinge. Meanwhile, just miles away in Brooklyn, it was a typical night in the apartment of Olivia and her best friend Ally - Olivia on the couch, Ally on the floor, both enjoying their favorite pastime - also swiping on Hinge.

Once the two matched, a first date was planned at romantic Citi Field in Queens, after Brandon won tickets to a Mets game through work. Hours before first pitch, Olivia texted Brandon saying she "wasn't feeling too well" and therefore had to cancel. Having been a part of the dating scene for quite some time, Brandon thought he knew where this was headed. But, to his pleasant surprise, Olivia asked to reschedule for the next night. And so, on a Tuesday in September, Brandon and Olivia had their first date on her favorite rooftop bar, just minutes from Grand Central.

As they say, the rest is history. The next day, Brandon totally disregarded the "three day rule," and texted Olivia at 6am saying what an amazing time he had the night before. Olivia, meanwhile, showed up at work, where she told her friend Malorie how she had just met her future husband.

After a few months of dating, the pandemic hit and Olivia moved to Stamford to live with Brandon. Afternoon barre sessions, family bingo nights and Zoom trivia with friends got them through the first few months of COVID. And then in June of 2020 - weeks after Olivia received her doctorate degree - they were joined on the east coast by the greatest roommates anybody could have asked for - Olivia's cats, Phoebe and Ferguson.

After a few years in Stamford, Olivia and Brandon traded the city life for the suburbs and moved to beautiful Wilton, CT - Olivia now a regional sales manager for Widex, and Brandon still at NBC. They've made the best group of friends, have traveled across the country together, and have continued to spoil Phoebe and Ferguson on a daily basis.

In August of 2023, Brandon brought their relationship back to the night they first met - that same rooftop by Grand Central, where - surrounded by their family and friends - Brandon (finally) asked Olivia to marry him. In February, they'll be making it official in beautiful Tulum, with plenty of piña coladas and spicy margaritas in hand.
